Auto-Mapping Excel sheet data with SUVIT configuration

Learn to use the Auto Mapping option provided in our Bulk upload's Sales/Purchase module.

1. What is Auto-Mapping in SUVIT?

Auto mapping in SUVIT is a feature designed to simplify the process of mapping data from your Excel sheets into our system. It makes mapping easier by automatically suggesting field mappings based on keywords and AI intelligence. This means you don't have to map everything manually, saving you time and effort. Once you've uploaded a file and mapped it, the system will remember your mappings for future uploads.

Once Excel upload is done the next step is to map the required fields. Click here to check how to upload an Excel file in SUVIT. Below is the Mapping screen where you can Map your uploaded Sales/Sales Return data in an Excel sheet.

Step 1 - Field Mapping

Now, simply you can select whether your data is "with item" or "without item".

In the first step of Field Mapping, you'll find the following sections:

Mapped: Here, you can see the fields that have already been automatically mapped based on the uploaded data.

Tally Fields: These are the fields that have already been matched with your Tally system. If you believe there are errors or need changes, you can adjust them here.

Your Sheet Data: This section shows you the top 3 values from your Excel sheet data.

Unmapped: In this section, you can see the fields that were not automatically mapped, and you'll need to manually select Tally fields for mapping. Once you've mapped these fields, they will move to the "Mapped" section.

Step 2: Ledger Mapping

  • In this step, you can map additional fields such as round-off, discount, freight amount, etc., by selecting the appropriate file header and ledger.

  • Your Sheet Header: The header from your Excel sheet.

  • Tally Fields: Choose the Tally ledger where you want to map additional fields.

  • Your Sheet Data: Preview the top 3 values of your sheet data.

  • Add Narration: Optionally, add narration to specific fields if a ledger is selected.

Click the next button to proceed to GST Mapping.

Step 3: GST Mapping ( Map Your Tax Ledger )

  • If you've already mapped fields, this step will automatically map them for other files.

  • GST Ledger from Excel sheet? a. If set to No, select the Tally Tax ledger to display the data.

b. If set to Yes, map the Tax Ledger from the sheet, creating a Tax Ledger column for all three Tax Ledgers.

  • If set to Yes, SGST, CGST, and IGST will be calculated automatically.

  • If set to No, the Tax will be calculated per the Excel sheet. You can check the Excel amount with the relevant GST and optionally add narration.

**Note**: SGST, CGST, and IGST Tax Ledgers must be mapped; these are mandatory fields. You can also map the round-off ledger.

The reset button will help you to reset the entire Mapping.

Save & Proceed will take you to the process screen and also help you save the particular format with SUVIT.
