Auto ledger/Item Creation

Here you will find the step by step guide to know the process of creating ledgers and items in bulk with one click on your sales/purchase transaction screen itself.


Auto Ledger/Item Creation in Suvit

Step 1: Sign in to Suvit

Step 2: Navigate to the Data Entry Automation Page

  • After signing in, click on "Explore Now" for Data Entry Automation to open the automation page.

Step 3: Select Bulk Upload

  • In the Data Entry Automation page, click on Bulk Upload from the left menu.

Step 4: Download the Sample Excel File

  • In the Item Excel page, click on "Download Sample" to get a sample excel file.

Step 5: Fill in the Excel Sheet

  • Open the downloaded sample Excel file and fill in the required fields such as "Name", "Under", and "Unit". Save the file after entering the necessary details.

Step 6: Upload the Excel File

  • Go back to the Item Excel page, click on "Upload", select the company, and upload the completed Excel sheet. If any ledger fails during upload, an error log will show the reasons.

Step 7: Mapping the Fields

  • After the upload is complete, proceed to the Mapping field page. Here, you will map the data in the uploaded Excel sheet to the corresponding Suvit fields. Once done, click on Save & Proceed.

If any errors exist in the uploaded sheet, a popup will appear. You can download the error log for more details.

Step 8: Check Transaction Remarks

  • On the item transaction screen, you will see remarks like the “failed reason” for any problematic entries.

Step 9: Save the Item Records

  • Return to the Ledger Transaction Page, locate the record you wish to import, and click Save.

Step 10: Send the Transaction to Tally

  • After saving the records, click on the Send the transaction to Tally button. A popup will appear asking for confirmation. Click OK to proceed or Cancel to stop.

Step 11: Verify in Tally

  • After completing the process, check the item ledgers in Tally to verify that the stock items have been created successfully.
